Lots of Cheer

While we’re waiting for the new Holiday Catalogue to launch on September 4, I thought I would try out the holiday stamps in the annual catalogue.  The Lots of Cheer stamp set has a simple elegance that will work for many styles of card.
The beautiful ornament stamp made me reach for heat embossing to bring out the detail.  I also felt a touch of foil would add just the right touch.

Card 1 - Copper

I used the Noble Peacock foil sheets on the first card. Copper embossing looks amazing on the Blueberry Bushel.  I wasn’t finding a paper I liked for a background but then I remembered the Copper Dotted treat bags which are new this year.  I cut a piece from the bag, mounted it onto whisper white cardstock and then matted it with the blueberry bushel foil.

The sentiment is from the same stamp set and was also embossed in copper.

The final touches were some copper trim along the diagonal edge and as a bow, and some rhinestones from the Noble Peacock suite.

Card 2 - Gold

The second card uses the Foil-Edged cards and envelopes.  I embossed the card base with the Seasonal Wreath embossing folder and then used gold embossing powder for the ornament and another sentiment from the stamp set.

Here are the products I used along with the product numbers.  If you are shopping from Canada and don't have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I would love to have you shop with me.  Head to my online store here.
