Here are a couple more Halloween projects using the Magic in this Night suite from Stampin' Up!
Magic in this Night Banner
I love creating banners. They make great home decor pieces and are so simple to make. They also fold up so they are easy to store and pull out as the seasons change.
I started with Basic Black cardstock and added the designer series paper (DSP) from the Magic in this Night pack. The border die cut from black glitter paper continues across the banner with each panel showing a different punch or die. The cat punch, bats, and spiders, all cut from the black glitter paper, create a glittery focal point for each panel. The playful alphabets dies spell out BOO! And the stamp set is featured on the last panel.
To The Bat Mobile!
No, not the batmobile!
This was so fun to make. I started with a piece of cardstock 4-1/4" x 2-1/2” and scored it on the short edge at 1/2”, 1”, 1-1/2”, and 2”
I folded on the score lines and added adhesive to create a tube. I threaded the metallic mesh ribbon though the tube and tied it to create the hanger. Two strips of the border dies cut from black glitter paper were added on each side as well as an additional strip of the glitter paper. The Happy Halloween was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then restamped with Versamark and embossed with clear embossing powder. I fussy cut around it and added it to the top of the mobile.
I then strung twine through the holes and then added bats and spiders cut from the DSP and from glitter paper at various lengths. I created 3D bats with three of the same shape, scored down the centre and glued together around the twine.
The stamp set and dies can be purchased separately or as a bundle with 10% off. The DSP is a great mix of Halloween and floral images that can be used for any occasion.
Wishing everyone a Happy Halloween!
