Fun with Holiday DSP

The new Holiday Catalogue has some amazing designer series papers! When I designed this card for a swap recently, I thought it would be fun to use the same design but with each of the DSP packs offered in the Holiday Catalogue.  All the cards feature the Pine Tree Punch and the Winter Knit 3D embossing folder. The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set. It was fun to find embellishments that worked for each of the cards.

Let It Snow with Snowflake Sequins embellishments

Wrapped In Plaid with Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels

Toile Tidings with Toile Tidings Glitter Enamel Dots

Feels Like Frost with Rhinestone Basic Jewels

Night Before Christmas with Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels

Brightly Gleaming with Star Designer Elements

Most Wonderful Time Medley with Gold Faceted Stars from the medley

So those ones were easy — Christmas themed cards with Christmas themed paper. But I wasn’t going to back down from a challenge. Here is the same design using the Come to Gather DSP.

Come To Gather with Basic Pearls (coloured with Soft Suede)

I love these two prints and have used up almost every scrap. But I love how this card turned out. A rustic country vibe perfect for a number of people on my list. The embellishments are pearls coloured with the Soft Suede Blends.

The only DSP I didn’t use from the Holiday Catalogue was the Monster Bash pack. But don’t think I didn’t try!

I would love to hear which one is your favourite.

Catalogue Coordination

One of the best things about Stampin’ Up! products is the way they coordinate with each other.  The Holiday Catalogue is full of amazing products but remember to look to the annual catalogue for more great ways to celebrate your favourite holidays.

Annual Catalogue

The first card uses only products from the Annual Catalogue.  The Lots of Cheer stamp set was launched in June and I love it!  The snowman, the wreath, the lovely ornament — so much to work with as well as some great sentiments.

Here is a list of other annual catalogue products I used for this card:
- Noble Peacock specialty designer series paper
- Noble peacock foil sheets
- Detailed Bands dies
- Gold foil edged cards and envelopes
- Gold embossing powder
- Versamark stamp pad

Annual Catalogue/Holiday Catalogue Coordination

This card features products from both catalogues and shows how amazingly the products work together.

I have used the beautiful Come to Gather designer series paper and the Gather Together stamp set.  I love the use of the Pretty Peacock colour.  Not your traditional fall colour but it works so well. Then I looked for products from the Annual Catalogue that would work with it. The Happy Thanksgiving from the Word Wishes dies was a perfect start. Using it with the copper foil sheets really sets it off.  The Scalloped Linen Ribbon, also in Pretty Peacock was the perfect element to add some texture along with the Leaves Trinkets embellishment.

The inside of the card features another pattern from the Come to Gather DSP, a sentiment from the Come to Gather stamp set, and the pumpkins are from the Ride with Me stamp set.  They are perfect to add a banner along the bottom edge.

Holiday Catalogue

This card uses products from the Holiday Catalogue (with one small exception).  Did you spot it? Yes, the extremely versatile Stitched Nested Labels dies snuck onto the card but fit so perfectly I couldn’t resist.  It is definitely one of my go-to sets.
